Event Organisers - How to include the RaceNation App on an event

Manage the settings  - Click on your event and go to the RaceNation App Menu/ App Setting

Display your event on the RaceNation App - If this is toggled on, settings for the app are expanded and enabled across the Event Dashboard. This does not affect the app itself.

Enable entrant tracking using the RaceNation App - If this is toggled on, settings for tracking will be displayed in the app for entrants, and spectators will be able to follow entrants who have enabled these settings during the event.

Use checkpoints to manage the flow of entrants using the RaceNation app - If this is toggled on, scan actions from the scanning section of the event dashboard will be used in the RaceNation app for "walk control". You will be able to enter entry IDs or Race Numbers in the app to mark entrants as having progressed to a point in the event. Please note that this function is always enabled on the event dashboard on the web in the scanning section - the toggle merely makes this function work on the app.

Use QR code scanning to register entrants at checkpoints using the RaceNation app - If this is toggled on, entrants will receive in their registration email an attachment containing a QR code which can be used to for the above scanning function. This QR code will also be displayed for them in the RaceNation app, and event organisers will be able to scan these QR codes within the app to mark entrants as having progressed to a point in the event. In the near future, all entrants will receive QR codes in their registration emails, so this feature can be more easily. To enable organisers to easily produce their own event packs, tags, etc. we keep the QR code in a simple format - that is, "RN-((Entry ID))".

Hide RaceNation Race Numbers in App - If this is toggled, Race Numbers from the RaceNation platform will not be displayed in the app. This is best used by organisers who use their own Race Number system, independent of the RaceNation platform. If this is toggled on, the scanning section of the app will also not allow entry of a Race Number to mark progress at an action
